A: The EBGP World Audition is a three-day event where ballet and contemporary dancers audition in front of a panel of distinguished directors from leading dance companies worldwide.

Q: When and where is the event taking place?
A: The event will be held from February 5–7, 2025, at the MuTh Theater, Vienna, Austria. You may check the schedule here.

Q: Who can participate in the audition?

A: Dancers aged 16 and older, specializing in ballet and contemporary styles, who aim to advance their professional careers, are encouraged to participate.


Registration and Participation

Q: How do I register for the audition?
A: Visit our official website and complete the registration form. Early registration is highly recommended due to limited slots.

Q: Is there a registration fee?
A: Yes, there is a fee to participate in the audition. Details on fees and payment methods are available during the registration process.

Q: What is the deadline for registration?
A: Registration closes on January 15, 2025, or earlier if slots are filled.


Event Structure

Q: What is the format of the audition?
A: The audition consists of three phases:

  1. Open Stage Class Audition: An initial stage class in front of the directors.
  2. Solo Auditions: Selected participants perform solos for all directors.
  3. In-Depth Open Audition: A final round for shortlisted candidates with specific auditions defined by the directors.

Q: Will I receive feedback from the directors?
A: Yes, participants will have opportunities for feedback to enhance their professional development.


Preparation

Q: What should I prepare for the audition?
A: Participants should prepare their resumes, headshots, and at least one choreographed solo piece. Additional details will be provided after registration.

Q: Are there specific requirements for the audition attire?
A: Dancers should wear form-fitting dance attire appropriate for ballet and contemporary styles to ensure clear visibility of movements.

A: No, participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging arrangements. However, a list of recommended accommodations near the venue will be provided.

Q: Is there any visa assistance for international participants?
A: While we cannot provide visas, we can issue invitation letters upon request to support your visa application.
