1. Agreement and Acknowledgment
The EBGP Competition will take place in Vienna, Austria, from February 4 to 7, 2025, and the EBGP World Audition will take place in Vienna, Austria, from February 5 to 7, 2025, culminating in a Gala performance of the selected competitors on February 7, 2025. The Competition, World Audition, and the Gala will be held at the MuTH Theater and are open to the public.
By submitting the online registration for the EBGP Competition and World Audition, the applicant has confirmed their agreement with the Terms and Conditions and attests to their understanding of the conditions outlined here. The applicant acknowledges that they agree to its terms and recognizes that all obligations mentioned must be fulfilled promptly.
2. Organizer and Participant Definitions
The EBGP Competition and EBGP World Audition referred to as the “Organizer,” is organized by the Austrian Association Renaissdance. The registered participant of the EBGP World Audition will be referred to as the “Competitor”.
3. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply for the EBGP Competition:

- Be at least 16 years old by February 5, 2025, and be about to graduate from a professional ballet or contemporary dance school.

- Be a professional dancer under the age of 27 at the time of the audition on February, 2025.

- Applicants have no height requirements.

- Each Competitor must present at the Check-in desk a personal identification document.
4. The Objectives of the World Audition
The main objective of the EBGP World Audition is to provide young dancers and professionals with opportunities to secure employment contracts, internships, apprenticeships, or invitations to galas and other events with international classical and contemporary dance companies. Competitors have multiple chances to be seen, acknowledged, and rewarded for their artistic and technical skills by various directors, choreographers, and representatives during the three-phase selection process. Additionally, the audition offers an intensive learning experience, as all competitors have the opportunity to attend all classes and observe the solo performances of other participants.
5. Legal Rights and Waivers
Before signing this agreement, the Competitor or their legal representatives must carefully read and comprehend it, and be aware of the legal rights they may be waiving. Competitors authorize the Organizer to use images, videos, and personal data for promotional purposes of the association and its cooperation partners.
The Organizer is not responsible for any injuries, illnesses, or damages that might occur during the World Audition and Gala period, nor for any loss of personal belongings. If events beyond the control of the parties occur, making it impossible for the Organizer to hold the audition, the affected party may terminate the agreement without liability, upon written notification. An online version of the event may be proposed. This agreement is considered read and accepted, and all information provided should be correct when the Competitor (or their legal representative) clicks the “Submit” button on the online registration form.
6. Candidate Responsibilities
The Competitor must have a valid Identity Card or Passport for Check-In. If necessary, a visa that allows travel to the European Union (EU) and valid health insurance that covers costs in case of injury or illness must be arranged. The Competitor is responsible for all travel expenses, accommodation arrangements, and meals during the event. Participation in the audition and gala is at the Competitor’s own risk. The Organizer reserves the right to make changes or substitutions to the schedule when necessary.
7. Registration Process
Registration is open until midnight on Jaunuary 15, 2025. The Organizer reserves the right to close registration earlier if all available spots are filled.

8. Evaluation Process
The three-phase evaluation of the Competitor’s abilities will take place as follows:
1st phase evaluation: Class on Stage

- Ballet training for those auditioning for a classical company (dancewear women: one-colored leotard and pink tights for women; no skirts) & (dancewear men: one-colored unitard)

- Contemporary dance class for those auditioning for a contemporary dance company (dancewear unisex: one-colored leotard or unitard; no shirts or skirts)
2nd phase evaluation: Solo on Stage

- A classical variation for those auditioning for a classical company (dancewear women: one-colored leotard and pink tights for women; rehearsal tutus or skirts are allowed if suitable to the classical variation) & (dancewear men: one-colored unitard)

- A contemporary dance solo for those auditioning for a contemporary dance company (dancewear unisex: one-colored leotard or unitard; rehearsal shirts, skirts, and trousers are allowed if suitable to the style)
*The dancewear´s color is a free choice.
After the 2nd phase, the first selection by the directors’ panel will take place. |
3rd phase evaluation: Those selected for the third phase of the audition will have the opportunity to showcase their skills again in front of the directors, either in a dance class or in an improvisation session. The format of the third phase of the audition is at the discretion of each director and will be communicated after the first selection has been made.
The final selection of competitors for the available positions in each company will be communicated by the Organizer via email at the director’s discretion, but no later than two weeks after the audition. |
9. Payment Information
The participation fee for the EBGP World Audition is €550.
Exclusive Deals and Promotions: For those who pay before October 18th, 2024, there is a reduction of 25%, which means that they would pay €412 (instead of €550!).
The Simona Noja Foundation offers a 20% discount on the fee for participants who submit a motivational letter to simonanoja@gmail.com by December 18th, 2024 (Total: €440).

* In case of injury or illness that makes participation at the EBGP World Audition not possible, a certificate issued by two different doctors must be sent to the email of the Organizer one week before the audition. In this case, there will be a reimbursement of 50% of the paid sum. After this date, no reimbursement is eligible anymore. Other cancellations do not entitle the Competitor to a fee refund.
